We are very happy to have kicked off the Data Protection as a Corporate Social Responsibility (DPCSR) Permanent Stakeholder Group today! Over the course of the next six months, together with this group of like-minded persons from Data Protection Supervisory Authorities, Intergovernmental Organizations, Education, and Industry, we will work to concretely improve our digital society by promoting and operationalising responsible data processing activities.
The scope of the Permanent Stakeholder Group is that of working together with Data Protection, Intergovernmental, Education and Business Stakeholders to validate the suggested concrete application of the five Principles and 25 Rules of the UM-DPCSR Framework. More specifically, we will identify best practices for compliance with the controls Kate Francis and I developed in our research (see here) and further consolidated in our forthcoming book which will be published at the end of the year.
Many thanks to all of you who participated in today’s call and we look forward to what these next months will bring!
